A New Jersey native, Sean came out to California at 18 years old to do his first wine harvest in 2010 at Demetria Estate under his uncle and still mentor, Michael Roth of Lo-Fi wines. After going to college, Sean returned to Santa Barbara where he worked in multiple roles in the wine industry until landing a cellar position at Coquelicot Estate Vineyards. Going abroad to work a vintage in New Zealand landed him an assistant winemaker role at Coquelicot Estate when he returned, and where he has continued to make wine since. In 2020 Disko Wines was created making natural, organically farmed wines. Easy drinking, low intervention is the style and preferred way of things for Disko.
