Lauro has been working at Hilton San Diego Bayfront for 8 lovely years. He started as a Line Cook, received a series of promotions from Lead Cook to Sous Chef, and his current role is Senior Sous Chef in charge of Hudson & Nash. Lauro attended culinary school “Festen Gastronomico” in Tijuana, MX. His passion for cooking started at a young age from cooking with his mother. He has always loved to feed people and be creative in the kitchen. What brings him the most joy is sharing his recipes and ideas with others – cooks, guests, and friends. Being a chef has shaped Lauro personally and professionally. His success has come from hard work and thriving in the heat of a stressful environment. He aims to always produce wonderful food and encourage his culinary team to reach their full potential.
