InterContinental San Diego
About
Jeff Josenhans’ continued and spirits, wine and beer innovation has established him as vital force in the nation’s beverage industry. Josenhans holds two concurrent titles of Certified Cicerone and Certified Sommelier, in addition to having forged new techniques in the mixology arena, backed up by both international and national cocktail competition experience in his earlier years.
As Director of Food & Beverage, Josenhans brings more than 20 years of global wine, beer and spirits knowledge to InterContinental San Diego. Much of Josenhans’ inspiration and cultural influence comes from his experiences overseas. He began his career in Stockholm, where he lived and worked for several years— bringing awareness of American craft beers and 100% agave tequilas to the international city, while also travelling to more than 45 countries and gaining leadership experience in multiple types of venues and hotels.
Josenhans has received several industry awards for his work after relocating to San Diego, including the CHLA Outstanding Manager of the Year, San Diego HMA Food and Beverage Manager of the Year, the Nightclub & Bar Hotel Bar of the Year award, and was honored with a Silver Medal at the Los Angeles International Spirits Competition as the first hotel entrant in the history of the competition.
Jeff remains active in the national beverage industry, and has been a featured speaker at Nightclub and Bar Las Vegas, SommCon San Diego, and Hospitality Executive Exchange. His cocktail programming has won Best Cocktails in America by Restaurant Hospitality magazine twice and he was featured on The Best Thing I Ever Ate on Food Network.
