Domaine Della

About

In 2015, I left Kosta Browne Winery as their CEO to pursue my own luxury label. Domaine Della’s mission is to craft intense and adventurous wines, partnering with the very best growers, a true expression in harmony and balance from the place where it was grown to create an exceptional wine for you and your special moments and timeless memories. These wines are extremely limited production and sourced from the finest vineyards in the Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast.

I have been crafting truly distinctive Pinot Noir since 2009, commercially since 2012 with our Inaugural Release in August of 2014. My passion for fine wine began while putting myself through school working as a waiter, sommelier and chef, but I found my true inspiration while living in Paris working for Nabisco in my early 20s. It was there that I first experienced the art of wine, food and culture in a way that was truly spiritual, all in the beautiful City of Light. Having traveled around the world nearly 50 times on international assignments and visiting every major wine region in the world, each of these adventures was never complete without discovering and enjoying the local food, wines and culture. This project is a culmination of three decades of experience.

Domaine Della is my dream realized from the shared vision of fellow founders; my sister and brother-in-law, Lee and Ernie LeRoy. Domaine Della honors our mother who died long before her time. Della Winifred Dale was a strong woman with a relentless commitment to life, raising eleven strong, intense and complex children in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was an extraordinary woman who believed in living the life you always imagined and in pursuing one’s dreams no matter the obstacles. I am grateful to my family, my many mentors and life teachers over the years to get me to this place.

All wines that have been released since our inaugural Fall Release on mom’s birthday, August 27, have received scores of 90-95+ points from the wine media. We sell 85% of our wines through the direct to consumer channel and have a waitlist,10% for three-tier at this stage of evolution, and we hold back 5% as library wine for new customer acquisition or to participate in meaningful ways to give back—your event clearly qualifies.

Our wines are released twice a year, in the Spring and in the Fall, over a three-week period to active “list” members. In the Spring (March), we release our appellation wines and, in the Fall, (October) we release the Single Vineyard wines. Our wines are extremely limited production sourced from the finest vineyards in the Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast.
