Dan Panella is the Co-Owner one of the two winemakers at Oak Farm Vineyards in Lodi, California. Farming has been a long-standing tradition in the Panella family, and Dan is the third generation of American farmers in his family. Agriculture has been a passion for Dan, he first got his start in farming by riding a tractor in the families’ cherry and walnut orchards, it was only a matter of time before he found himself farming grapes. After years of farming the family vineyard, in 2010, he decided it was time to put his passion for wine to work. Under the training of a highly regarded winemaker, Dan has been able to grow in the art of winemaking. It’s really a fusion of agriculture and art that has allowed him to be creative and try to allow the grapes to show their strengths.
