Cohn Restaurant Group Brings Con Pane Rustic Breads & Café Back to Liberty Station
This fall, a beloved artisan bakery is making its way back to Liberty Station! Con Pane Rustic Breads & Café is set to reopen under the Cohn Restaurant Group Family of Restaurants this coming September.
Founded in 1999 by talented baker Catherine Perez, Con Pane was one of San Diego’s most iconic eateries until it’s unfortunate closure in January 2020.
Cohn Restaurant Group Co-Founder David Cohn approached Perez, a longtime friend and industry peer, and the two planned a partnership that would over time see Con Pane’s daily operations transition to Cohn Restaurant Group.
Cohn Restaurant Group is committed to sustaining the heart and soul of the original bakery. Catherine Perez will guide Con Pane’s team through the remainder of the year with her veteran knowledge of artisan baking. Local favorites like Con Pane’s Turkey Cobb, Almost Grilled Cheese, Brioche Cinnamon Roll, Butterscotch Latte, Point Loma Sourdough, Gruyere and Chive, and Chocolate Bread will have a home on the future menu.
