The urban distillery, spearheaded by powerhouse female and Forbes 30 Under 30 Entrepreneur, Laura Johnson is spilling the recipe behind three hot new cocktail recipes to take you from summer to fall.

Rye Me A River
Whiskey who? This is the You & Yours Distilling Co. version of a classic Manhattan that will blow you away with our bourbon barrel rested Provisional Gin paired with housemade toasted rye syrup & bitters & finished with a candied grape.
Ingredients
- 1.5 Winter Gin
- 0.5 oz Toasted Rye Syrup*
- 4-5 dashes Orange bitters
- 4-5 dashes Angostura bitters
*Toasted Rye Syrup
- 12g Rye
- 2c granulated sugar
- 2c water
Toast the dry rye kernels in a saucepan until toasted, but not burnt. Add water & sugar and bring to a boil. Let cool & finely strain.
Cocktail Directions
Stir & Strain into a coupe glass (alternatively, serve in a rocks glass over a large ice cube) Garnish with an expressed orange peel.
2:15 to Cabo
Why do drinks always taste better when you’re on vacation? Inspired by Laura Johnson’s travels (the owner/founder of You & Yours Distilling Co.), this cocktail tastes like a Mexican vacation in a glass. Layered flavors of honeydew, pear & cucumber punched up with Tajin & cilantro.
Ingredients
- 1.5oz Y&Y Sunday Gin
- 0.5oz freshly juiced cucumber
- 1.5oz honeydew/agave/pear shrub*
- Topo Chico or sparkling water of choice
*Honeydew, Agave, & Pear shrub
- 1c freshly juiced honeydew
- 0.5c agave syrup
- 0.5 oz pear vinegar
Mix all ingredients together, and store in a sealed container. Store in the refrigerator for up to one week.
Cocktail Directions
Build in a Tajin-rimmed stemless wine glass. Fill almost to top with ice, and top off with Topo Chico (or other sparkling water). Garnish with cilantro leaves.
