Alvaro Hernandez is the Executive Chef Partner at Eddie V’s Prime Seafood in downtown San Diego. Chef Alvaro grew up loving the kitchen and hospitality. His family says it all started with his grandmother holding him in her arms as a baby while preparing giant pots of her famous pazole. His passion for cooking and hospitality led him to attend culinary school at The San Diego Art Institute. Chef Alvaro loves cooking with the highest quality proteins and implementing them into his family’s traditional dishes he grew up eating.  After working his way through the kitchen ranks he is now proud to be the ECP for one of San Diego’s finest restaurants, serving a wide variety of prime seafood and steaks.
