In 2017, Major Food Group, NYC’s powerhouse hospitality group founded by Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi and Jeff Zalaznick, welcomed acclaimed pastry chef Stephanie Prida to their elite team. Appointed as Head of Pastry for THE GRILL, THE POOL, and The Lobster Club, Stephanie lends her undeniable talent and wealth of experience to each of the buzzed-about restaurants that now occupy the landmark Seagram Building in midtown Manhattan.

Stephanie joined Major Food Group following a five-year stint as Executive Pastry Chef at 3-Michelin star restaurant Manresa in her native state of California. During that time, she made a name for herself as one of the country’s most promising pastry chefs, earning well-deserved recognition from a variety of influential publications including Food & Wine, Zagat, Forbes, and The San Francisco Chronicle. Prior to Manresa,Stephanie honed her craft an impressive portfolio of Michelin-starred restaurants, including Blackbird, RIA, and L2o, each in Chicago.

As Head of Pastry at THE GRILL, THE POOL, and The Lobster Club, Stephanie draws inspiration from her peers and her surroundings, and seeks to challenge herself everyday by experimenting with new ingredients and techniques to conceptualize unique and refined dishes that combine timeless elegance and modern naturalistic sensibility. Taking full advantage of the artistic freedom afforded to her in this role, Stephanie seeks to craft unparalleled desserts that reflect the distinct personalities of each venue, from a Bitter Almond Brulée with plums and sherry vinegar served at THE POOL, to the Blood Orange Kakigori at The Lobster Club, and the German Chocolate Layer Cake at THE GRILL.
